This book was so fun and imaginative. Great for all ages. I bought enough to give to my friends so they could enjoy them too!!
Being a school librarian I can totally see a number of boys I would recommend this book to. This is definitely a well-written book geared to elementary school boys.
The title gives a little clue that there is some humor geared toward flatulence and if you want your child reading something about someone with gurgle guts, then you should pick this up.
However, for me personally, I didn't love it. The plot line has too much "unbelievable" elements for a realistic fiction book, it was too unbelievable for me and their was not enough logic behind what was going on.
My son was having trouble finding books he liked as he moved into chapter books. Bees in my Butt was perfect for the transition. It kept his interest, kept him laughing, and he still loves talking about the story. Even my ten-year-old daughter picked it up and read through it. I think she might have liked it even more than he did. It's a great, fun, kids book.
I have to admit the title turned me off. However, when I brought the book home and started reading it to my 9-year-old son, the rest of my kids gathered around to listen. I stopped reading about halfway through because my voice gave out, so my 13-year-old son grabbed the book and finished it on his own. A fun book for all ages, it had all of us rolling on the floor laughing, and my 9-year-old son stayed up late talking to me about it. Any book that can move my kids that much has my vote of approval. Highly recommended.

This book keeps young readers interested and is also teaching them more words that they can add to their vocabulary. I would suggest younger readers should read this book series.
Kid loved it! Giggled all the way thru it and read it in a single setting.
